This is a book about fears...about the unnecessity of fearing. The author Richard Bach is in his mid fities and suddenly meets his alter ego as an eight year old child, himself the way he used to be.At first he is shocked about Dickys hatred towards him and fears the next encounter but with understanding that this anger is a result of the years of isolation young dickie experienced he decides to give this child a chance...wanting to teach him everything that he learned while living. It takes time until he understands that it's not just him learning but instead that both learn from echother.
It's an interessting book bout our inner child and the relationship we can achive with it.
it's an adventure of the spirit as it already tells in the subtitle on the cover and is full of beutiful phrases which can teach us alot about perception and life, about time and fear.
It covers a wide range of topics through out this adventurous encounter and helps to get in touch with who we could be.Same as his other books it can be but as a spiritual guidance through life or just as a beautiful story about finding a way of not fearing fear but instead grow on it and learn from it.
It's touching and inspiring and reminds us about the beauty of life and the fact that it's entirely up to us and the choices we take.
Finding passages about age and height...about forgotten childhood memories which we still can remember if we just allow ourselves to be concious about.Fascinatingly written, poetic and from an author which seems to really have grasped some aspects of truths in his life and who writes mostly for the spirit that is wandering and searching for answers which we already do carry deep within ourselves...sometimes more concious...sometimes less.
There is no need to fear what we can't change that's something that this beautiful tale teaches as well as that we can follow our heart cause it will lead us to true happiness.
a book tht i highly recommend whenever you don't feel like you have the strengh to go for what you dream of or when fear of being lonely,of ageing and others fears stay in the way of being who you truely want to be.
A book from the heart for the heart.
